Established in 1986, Wright Engineering is a company with a long history and excellent reputation for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of innovative materials handling solutions for all purposes, from concept through to realisation.
Experience
Our experienced design engineers, who have worked for us for many years, have extensive experience in developing complete project solutions for many of the countries leading blue chip companies.
We are proud of the fact that companies such as Tarmac, British Gypsum, Lafarge and Hanson have been regular clients of Wright Engineering for over 30 years.
In-House Capabilities
We made a conscious decision to keep a manufacturing, fabrication capability in house. This, combined with an on-site shotblast and paint facility, has allowed us to control the quality of our equipment, and flexibility of response to our client’s changing requirements.
Completing our total quality approach, we also have a dedicated assembly shop on site. This allows the trial assemble and pre-assemble project components, ensuring smooth installations on site.
Total Project Approach
To complete our “total project” approach, we employ fully qualified and experienced site installation staff. We do not subcontract installations on our client’s sites. The introduction of the CDM regulations has proved a positive factor in our growth.
Clients are pleased to see our employees fully trained, certificated and managed, installing equipment on their sites in a safe and efficient manner.
An enduring approach
Based in Worksop, just a short distance from J30 of the M1, we are situated in the centre of the UK’s engineering heartland and are ideally placed to service the farthest reaches of the country and beyond.
Utilising the large pool of well-trained, skilled manpower that was available as a result of the colliery closures in the area, the company was based on the fundamental approach of high quality and service, at reasonable cost. This approach has endured for over 35 years and has resulted in steady growth and expansion that continues to the present day. In 1998 we relocated to the current site on the outskirts of Worksop. The purpose built manufacturing facility has subsequently been extended to its maximum and in 2011 built new offices and stores adjacent to the original site, on newly acquired land. Wright Engineering’s core competence is in the field of bulk materials handling, storage and processing.
TIMELINE HISTORY
Wright Engineering’s work ethic and high quality engineering design and fabrication solutions, combined with our experienced site installation teams, have resulted in these new sectors becoming a major contributor to our company turnover. We are now operating around a £15 million plus turnover, employing a 150+ full time employees. Our core belief is employing well qualified, experienced and motivated staff at all levels within our company history. This will continue to allow us to provide the high quality cost effective solutions that our clients need and will be reinforced and developed further in the future.
